In comparison to 24: It's much lighter, (funny banter between characters and jokes, but on a more literal note the colors are just brighter than 24), it is much less complex with less twists, the production value is a little lower and the characters aren't nearly as deep. Ok but it's not fair to compare it to 24. This really is a great show. It even fills a little of the LOST gap, because its shot in Hawaii and stars Daniel Dae Kim (Jin from Lost). The chemistry between characters is great, the acting is very good, its shot very nicely. The episodes aren't receptive, it's intense, and there are really good action scenes. It's just a really perfectly balanced show, and in the end it does what shows of this caliber are meant to doe: entertain.
My only gripes: Some of the lines can be corny, not like corny jokes but unnecessarily deep monologues or something. Also some of the one episode actors are bad. but all the recurring ones are great. By the way in case you didn't know it is a reboot of a very old show. It airs Mondays 10/9c, definitely check it out.
